How We Got Here
We started Dog Boarding Round Rock in 2006 because the kennels we'd taken our own dogs to in Central Texas felt like the wrong way to care for a family member. Stacked runs, isolated dogs, twenty-minute "play breaks," loud concrete rooms. None of it matched the way we wanted our own dogs to live, so we opened a facility built around the opposite: cage-free group play, calm rest periods, and real visibility for the families who trusted us.
Eighteen years later, the bones of the place are the same. Many of our original clients are now boarding their second or third generation of dogs with us. Some of the puppies we ran through trial days in 2008 are now seniors who split their day between gentle play and long naps. That kind of continuity, the same owners, the same building, the same neighborhood, is something a national franchise simply cannot replicate.
What We Stand For
The rules that have not changed since day one:
- Cage-free, every day. No stacked kennel runs. Group play with size-matched groups, then quiet cot rest.
- Transparency on purpose. Real-time webcams in both play areas, available to every client. You should never have to guess what's happening with your dog.
- Fair money. Daycare packages never expire and are fully refundable, period. We refuse to keep money for services we don't deliver.
- Risk-free first day. Every new dog gets a complimentary trial day so we can confirm they're the right fit before any commitment.
- Honest no's. If a dog isn't a fit for group play, we say so on day one rather than push through a stay that doesn't work for anyone.

Built for the Round Rock Climate
Texas summers force every dog boarding facility in Round Rock to make a choice: invest in real climate control and shaded outdoor space, or cut corners and hope no one notices. We chose the first option in 2006 and have rebuilt around it twice since. Indoor play zones run on dedicated HVAC, outdoor yards have shade structures and water features, and on extreme-heat-warning days we shift the rhythm of the day so outdoor time happens at the cooler ends.
